We created ComClass.org to be a place where people can come together to buy, sell and trade goods and services, grow their businesses, stay in touch with their local community and discuss things that are important in their lives.
Our philosophy is that ComClass.org should reflect the diverse nature of the people and communities that choose to visit our site. The role of ComClass.org is not to police it's members, restrict business to one location or hold people to an unknown set of standards.
In the past, other websites were started with similar goals, but eventually sold out to large corporations and then changed into something that was less of a community and more of a business, with ever changing rules and restrictions on what was considered acceptable to sell or say.
Our pledge is that ComClass will never go down the same path. This community was built to benefit all people and businesses, and your constant use of ComClass and feedback on how things can improve will ensure that this community remains a positive experience for everyone. Here is our pledge to the ComClass.org community:
1. There will never be a single piece of ComClass.org sold to a business or corporation. ComClass will always remain 100% in private hands!
2. You will be always able to buy, sell or trade goods and services in the city of your choice for free.
3. You will always be able to buy, sell or trade goods and services in multiple cities and countries at an affordable price. (Coming soon!!)
4. We will constantly work to ensure individual people, entrepreneurs and businesses have the tools and freedoms they need to be successful on ComClass.org.
5. At least 10% of any profits generated from ComClass will be donated to charitable organizations and non profit groups
6. There will never be banner ads on ComClass!!
7. Similar to any shopping mall or market, you will be able to sell any product or service on ComClass.org that you could legally sell elsewhere.
8. Similar to any public meeting place, your words and views will not be arbitrarily censored because someone monitoring a blog disagrees with your point of view. Open and honest discussions are welcomed and encouraged as long people remain respectful of their fellow community members and do not engage in hateful or abusive conversations.
9. You will never have your ads cancelled or your account shut down because you have been mistaken for a spammer. Spamming is an issue that we, along with all other internet sites have to deal with, but we will not unfairly impact the income and livelihood of our legitimate members.
10. You will never have your ads cancelled or your account shut down because you have criticized ComClass. As long as your criticism is not hateful or abusive, you are free to speak your mind.
11. We will never pay actors to advertise ComClass.org. If ComClass is worth promoting, then our members will be the ones to do it.
12. We will never sell or share your personal information with anyone! (Have you checked to see what other classified ad sites and social network sites are doing with you personal information?)
13. And finally, we commit to working with you to make ComClass the best online community in the world.
This commitment will always be available on ComClass.org and on our office wall. We will hold ourselves to it, and we know you will do the same!
